Conocal

For ultra trail runners

Train for the long day, not just the next run.

Conocal pulls every run from your COROS watch and lines it up against your plan. See miles, vert and heart rate by the week, whether you're fresh or cooked, what the weather did to your long run, and how many miles are left in your shoes.

Invite-only beta. Free while in beta. Works with COROS.

A 9.4-mile trail run in Conocal: the route, then heart rate, pace, elevation and temperature charts along the run.

Plan vs actual

Your plan, checked against your watch.

Plan the next few weeks day by day. Each day fills in from your runs, so you can see what you did, not what you meant to do.

  • Every planned run marked done, short, missed or skipped.
  • A split long run still counts as the long run.
  • Missed a day? The rest of the plan stays put. No making up miles.
  • Every change is logged, so "was 20 mi" stays visible.
A week in the Plan tab: easy runs and strength marked done, and two long runs marked short with the miles actually run.

Training load

Know if you're fresh before the long run.

Fitness, fatigue and form, worked out second by second from the heart rate in every run, strength sessions included.

  • Weekly distance against your planned weeks.
  • Fitness (42-day) and fatigue (7-day) curves, and today's form.
  • Uses your own max and resting heart rate, from COROS or set by you.
Conocal's Home: eight weeks of distance with planned-distance marks, and a training load card with fitness 78, fatigue 63 and form +7, fresh.

Every run

Vert, heart rate and the heat, run by run.

Every run gets the full picture from its FIT file: laps, heart rate zones, and the weather where and when you ran it.

  • Heart rate, pace, elevation and temperature charts you can scrub.
  • Time in each heart rate zone, from your own zones.
  • Temperature, dew point, humidity and wind across the whole run, not one reading at the start.
A trail run's details: load 252, 83 to 86 degrees Fahrenheit, dew point 41, humidity 20 percent, wind 10 mph, run in the Speedgoat 6.

Shoes

Miles on every pair, trail and road.

Set a default shoe for trail and one for road. New runs are put in the right pair on their own, and you can change any run.

  • Distance, runs and last use for each pair.
  • A heads-up on Home when a pair passes its retire mileage.
The Gear tab: Speedgoat 6, trail default, 181 of 400 miles; Clifton 10, road default, 339 of 400 miles.

How it works

1

Connect COROS

Sign in to COROS once from Settings. Conocal only reads your data.

2

Your history syncs

Runs, FIT files and daily heart rate readings come in, then keep syncing on their own.

3

Plan and train

Add your plan, set your shoes, and watch the weeks fill in.
